We’ll wake up one morning
After all the rain and storm passed.
Thorn by all we lived and saw.
The first steps out of bed won’t be easy.
The world out there is different,
At the gaze through the window.
Some people will be gone.
Some chapters will be left behind.
Seems like it was all a different life.
The trees will be greener,
The waters will be cleaner,
The birds will sing,
The wind will warm us.
The sun will light us.
Relief will take over us.
We will never be the same.
And though pain and struggle passed through us,
This new dawn will gift us something else.
It will give us a new strength, a new life, a new will.
As we get out of our slumber,
The world will greet us.
And hope remains that all we learned during this time
Might change the course of history forever.
Let us learn from mistakes, by forgiving and thrive to do better.
Let us learn from fear, and give out love.
Let us learn from experience, and teach our children.
Let us learn values, and make them our guides.
Let us learn from pain, and prevent it from reaching others.
Let us learn from cages, and understand freedom.
Let us learn from loneliness, and finally get to know ourselves.
Let us smile when we come out. Despite all the pain and despair. Let us open our arms to a new age. Let us laugh of joy. Let us rejoice with beauty.
Let us go out to a new world.
One under no flag.
Let us walk together.
Alongside all living creatures.
With a newfound respect for life.
A newfound purpose.
A newfound determination.
A newfound dream.
Let we all, children of Earth,
Learn from her teachings.
Let us make her proud.
